Palm Jumeirah Seems Back on Track

The Kempinski Hotel and Residences is the fourth luxury residence to open on the Palm.

Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, the world’s largest man made island, is getting back on track to become a hot tourist destination. Plans to open up to 30 hotels on Palm Jumeirah were put on hold following the worldwide economic downturn. In the last year, four hotels have opened on the island and two more are slated to open by the end of the year. “Dubai needs the Palm to be fully operational,” ben Mahmoud told AMEinfo.com. “The market has been waiting for the Palm promise.”
