Abu Dhabi Industrial Zone Seeking Asian Investors

Construction at Abu Dhabi's Khalifa Industrial Zone is well under way.

Abu Dhabi’s goal of diversifying its financial portfolio beyond oil is close to becoming a reality with increasing interest in its Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (Kizad) at Taweelah. The Zone, which is 2/3 the size of Singapore, will include industrial clusters based around a new port. Interest among potential Asian investors has been high in phase the first, $7 billion phase of the development. Officials estimate that by 2030 the zone will contribute 15% of Abu Dhabi’s non-oil GDP. The Project has already conducted road shows in India, China and South Korea in a bid to bring Asian investors and banks into the project
